The deep luxurious tones in this 21.7 inch (55 cm) Spanish board beautifully complement the exquisitely detailed 4.25 inch Lemington Chessmen. All the chess pieces enjoy additional carvings at the base of their shanks. The king’s finial and bishop’s mitre are intricate in their design but it is the knights in this set that command your attention with their alert ears and eyes, flowing manes and strong bone structure.
Together the Lemington Chessmen and the Montgoy Palisander board present a truly stunning and enviable chess set.

The chess board in this set has been expertly crafted by Rechapados Ferrer in Spain using precision laser cutting techniques and stunning wooden veneers combined with expert lacquering and finishing. The underside of the board is finished in a satin veneer that is a different colour from the playing surface of the board. The veneers used for the underside may vary in colour from batch to batch.
