The French Knight Series chess pieces are classic Staunton in design and handcrafted to an impeccable standard. The finish and attention to detail is far beyond what you would expect to get with this modestly sized set . With its 3.25 inch (82.3 mm) king height, these chessmen are expertly turned from solid boxwood, with the black pieces ‘ebonised’ to create a convincing ebony effect.

The beautiful 19.7 inch (50cm) wenge board from Spain, with its rich chocolate hues, makes for a perfect battle ground and combined with the French Knight pieces creates a stunning and enviable chess set for your home.

The chess board in this set has been expertly crafted by Rechapados Ferrer in Spain using precision laser cutting techniques and stunning wooden veneers combined with expert lacquering and finishing. The underside of the board is finished in a satin veneer that is a different colour from the playing surface of the board. The veneers used for the underside may vary in colour from batch to batch.
