This beautiful 21.7 inch Palisander board, made by the world famous Rechapados Ferrer S.A. of Spain, is the perfect stage for these opulent chessmen.

Expertly crafted from solid ebony and weighted to give perfect balance, these chessmen exude pure luxury.

With his sleek shank and decorative finial, the 4.5 inch king is of a simplistic design yet still a commanding chess piece. The rook and bishop are equally elegant and simplistic but it is the knights that draw attention in this set. With superb detail in the bone structure and facial features together with the intricate detail in the mane, this particular chess piece is more of an ornament.

The chess board in this set has been expertly crafted by Rechapados Ferrer in Spain using precision laser cutting techniques and stunning wooden veneers combined with expert lacquering and finishing. The underside of the board is finished in a satin veneer that is a different colour from the playing surface of the board. The veneers used for the underside may vary in colour from batch to batch.
