The Dubliner chess set represents one of our largest and grandest chess sets. The king stands an impressive 4.7 inches (120 mm) tall and the board measures 23.6 inches (60 cm) across. The pieces have been expertly crafted from solid rosewood and boxwood and felted on their bases with billiard cloth. Each piece is weighted for perfect balance. The knights in this set are particularly impressive and feature some very intricate carving. The style of the chessmen is a unique design that departs from the traditional Stanton sets.

The chess board in this set has been expertly crafted by Rechapados Ferrer in Spain using precision laser cutting techniques and stunning wooden veneers combined with expert lacquering and finishing. The underside of the board is finished in a satin veneer that is a different colour from the playing surface of the board. The veneers used for the underside may vary in colour from batch to batch.
