A very traditional chess set combination of our classic Staunton design Supreme Series Chessmen in solid ebony and boxwood with our luxurious Deep Rosewood and Black Anegre Chess Board finished in a high gloss lacquer. The Supreme chess pieces are superbly proportioned and nicely weighted for their size. Hand turned and naturally polished ebony, these pieces display some of the classic characteristics of the original Staunton design but have more contemporary lines and curves that bring them to life.

In all, a classic chess set that oozes quality and value.

This chess set includes a beautiful burl wood veneer chess case which has two black felt lined compartments.

Please note that when the chessmen are placed in the box it is normal and intentional for them to lay down on top of each other. They are NOT intended to stand up inside the box.

The chess board in this set has been expertly crafted by Rechapados Ferrer in Spain using precision laser cutting techniques and stunning wooden veneers combined with expert lacquering and finishing. The underside of the board is finished in a satin veneer that is a different colour from the playing surface of the board. The veneers used for the underside may vary in colour from batch to batch.
