Luxury chess cabinet combination that offers the finest in distinctive chess piece design in a small package.
Our Madrid Tres Corone 2.5 inch chessmen are fashioned in three graded hardwoods; red padauk, ebony and boxwood matched with this traditional walnut and maple chess board.
Three chess piece combinations are offered – ebony and boxwood, padauk and boxwood, or even padauk and ebony. These chessmen have come from the one of world’s finest creators of luxury chess pieces and have been made to exacting standards. Identical to their larger brothers in the series, the detailing is simply staggering for chessmen of such minuscule proportions – something that can be truly appreciated from our product photographs.
Included is a rootwood burl chess piece case to house the pieces when not in use, additional queens and a certificate of authenticity.
Please note that when the chessmen are placed in the box it is normal and intentional for them to lay down on top of each other. They are NOT intended to stand up inside the box.
The chess board in this set has been expertly crafted by Rechapados Ferrer in Spain using precision laser cutting techniques and stunning wooden veneers combined with expert lacquering and finishing. The underside of the board is finished in a satin veneer that is a different colour from the playing surface of the board. The veneers used for the underside may vary in colour from batch to batch.
