Down Head Grand Sheesham Championship Chess Set

Superb value wooden chess set bundle that features solid wood chessmen and quality wooden polished chess board. Includes our 3.25 inch King Down Head chess pieces finished from solid natural Sheesham Wood and Boxwood. They are hand finished with a natural waxes, are weighted and have green felted bases.
They have been matched with our 19 inch European tournament chess board, a combination of veneered rich mahogany and maple. In addition, we have included our polished Birch chess box to keep the pieces. The robust hardwoods and expert craftsmanship mean this set will last for years of enduring chess games.

Please note that when the chessmen are placed in the box it is normal and intentional for them to lay down on top of each other. They are NOT intended to stand up inside the box.

The chess board in this set has been expertly crafted by Rechapados Ferrer in Spain using precision laser cutting techniques and stunning wooden veneers combined with expert lacquering and finishing. The underside of the board is finished in a satin veneer that is a different colour from the playing surface of the board. The veneers used for the underside may vary in colour from batch to batch.
