The king, an impressive 92 g in weight, boasts a silhouette inspired by the ancient architecture of the Mughal’s, with a rounded top supporting a decorative spire. Next to his 4.5 inch frame is a queen chosen for her elegant, Moor-inspired headdress. Their differing styles, expressive and graceful, complement each other perfectly in this remarkable set.

First put on a chessboard to represent professionally trained royal guards, the knights have always been hugely influential pieces.
The Constantine knight is one of the most detailed in the Regency Collection, with a long firebrand mane and a flicker of hair covering one eye.

The chess board in this set has been expertly crafted by Rechapados Ferrer in Spain using precision laser cutting techniques and stunning wooden veneers combined with expert lacquering and finishing. The underside of the board is finished in a satin veneer that is a different colour from the playing surface of the board. The veneers used for the underside may vary in colour from batch to batch.
