Like the ebonised version, these Classic Staunton Chess Pieces in acacia also offer excellent quality and superb value for money. As you would come to expect from The Regency Chess range, the quality of finish and attention to detail on these solid wooden chessmen is far beyond what you expect from such a modestly priced set.
Each chess piece has been expertly turned from solid acacia and boxwood, naturally beautiful looking woods, and then weighted and felted on the base. The 3.5 inch king height makes them ideal for this stunning Spanish board.
This is a 17.75 inch quality chess board produced by the reputable chess artisan Rechapados Ferrer S.A. of Spain. High grade Walnut and Maple veneered construction using modern fabrication techniques has produced a board with clean lines and critical detailing. The Walnut grain is simply sublime and a beautifully veneered wooden base adds the finishing touch. This board can accommodate these pieces due to the larger than normal squares afforded by the narrower border.
The chess board in this set has been expertly crafted by Rechapados Ferrer in Spain using precision laser cutting techniques and stunning wooden veneers combined with expert lacquering and finishing. The underside of the board is finished in a satin veneer that is a different colour from the playing surface of the board. The veneers used for the underside may vary in colour from batch to batch.
