The wenge 19.7 inch deluxe board is made in Spain and manufactured to exacting standards. This board is a good size at almost 20 inches, allowing it to sit comfortably on most coffee tables.

The wenge and rosewood colour tones on these items is very similar, with strong, dark red brown hues and contemporary patterning. The pieces are double weighted and have green flocked bases to protect the board surface. They are hand polished with natural waxes, creating a subtle sheen which is mirrored in the satin lacquered surface of the wenge board. The veneer square inlays are perfection itself and provide a playing surface that looks at home in either modern or traditional interiors.

The chess board in this set has been expertly crafted by Rechapados Ferrer in Spain using precision laser cutting techniques and stunning wooden veneers combined with expert lacquering and finishing. The underside of the board is finished in a satin veneer that is a different colour from the playing surface of the board. The veneers used for the underside may vary in colour from batch to batch.
